How do I identify an animal?

Open the app, point your camera at the animal, and tap the shutter — or pick an existing photo from your gallery. The AI returns the species, a confidence score, alternatives and a full profile in a few seconds.

How many free scans do I get?

You get 3 free scans with no account needed. After that, Animal AI Pro unlocks unlimited scanning.

How much is Pro, and is there a trial?

Pro is $39.99/year or $7.99/month (local currency and taxes may vary). There’s no free trial — your 3 free scans let you try the app first.

How do I restore a purchase on a new device?

Open the app, go to your profile/settings and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Go to Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions, select Animal AI and cancel. Deleting the app alone does not cancel billing.

How accurate is it? Can I rely on it for safety?

The AI is good but not infallible — always check the confidence score. Never use the app to decide whether an animal is safe to approach, touch or handle, and never eat or avoid anything based on an identification. For anything where being wrong could cause harm, consult a professional.

Can I clear my collection?

Yes. In your profile/settings you’ll find an option to clear your collection. This permanently removes your saved cards and progress on the device.

What happens to my photos?

Scanned photos are sent only to identify the animal and aren’t used to train AI models. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
