Animal AI (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is an independent app developed by Massimiliano Merlo, an individual developer based in Italy. This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and the choices you have. We designed Animal AI to collect as little as possible.
You can use Animal AI’s free scans without creating an account. We do not ask for your name, email or phone number to use the app. If you email us for support, we’ll have whatever you choose to write to us.
Animal AI relies on a small number of trusted providers to function. We do not sell your data to anyone.
Scanned images are transmitted only to carry out the identification and are not kept by us to build advertising or training datasets. Your collection data is retained so your progress persists; you can clear your collection at any time from within the app.
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing or request portability. Because the app works without an account, we often hold no information that identifies you personally. To make a request, email valtitech78@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Animal AI is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under the age required for consent in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
